The Service We Provide
We are a booking and matching service. We are not a plumbing or heating contractor. When you contact us, we record the fault and your address, then find an independently owned local plumbing company from our partner network that can reach you and suits the job. Before it arrives, we text you its name and contact details, as set out on our how we work page.
Who Your Contract Is With
The partner company that attends is separate from us. It is not part of Proper Plumber Croydon, and your agreement for the plumbing or heating work is with that company alone. It diagnoses the fault, writes its own quote, carries out the work and stands behind it.
Payment and Invoices
We do not take payment, issue invoices or hold deposits for plumbing or heating work. You pay the partner company directly, on the terms of its written quote. If you have a question about a bill, take it to the partner company first.
Quotes, Prices and Timings
The partner company sets its prices after its own diagnosis and gives them to you in writing before work begins. We do not quote jobs, and we do not promise a price or an arrival time on this website or by phone. Any price ranges shown on our service pages are published guides from other sources and are not offers.
If Something Goes Wrong
Raise any problem with the partner company first, because it carried out the work and is best placed to put it right. If you cannot reach a resolution, ring 07898 116196 and we will chase it with the partner company on your behalf. We cannot guarantee an outcome, but we will not leave the matter unanswered.
The Limits of Our Responsibility
Our role is limited to taking your enquiry and arranging a match, to the extent the law allows. We are not responsible for the partner company's workmanship, pricing, scheduling or conduct. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
